  • I've been wondering about the "best" module combos as well. I think it comes down to how you play your tank. Here is the loadout on my fleet..........

    3001 H............ Camo, ventilation, grousers
Leopard.......... camo, optics, ventilation (will be changing after patch)
    Panzer IV......... camo, ventilation, binoculars
    Hetzer............ camo, shell rammer, binoculars
T2 Light.......... optics, spall liner, ventilation
T2 medium.......... toolbox, shell rammer, ventilation
T57 (arty)......... camo, gun laying drive, shell rammer

For heavies and brawny mediums I would definitely dump the camo and go with the toolbox. Ventilation seems to be a good cheap bump to the skills. I play my wimpish mediums as either snipers or scouts depending on the mix of enemy tanks. Went with a toolbox on my T2 medium since it is often the best brawler on the field when I play it. I would love to have find a "Tank Tool" that would let you input all the equipment, skills and modules and it would generate the stats for the tank reflecting all the factors. I found one tank tool but it was pretty useless.

  • StuG- toolbox, gun rammer, camo. Crew at 100% and 100% at camo skill.

JagdPzIV- toolbox, coated optics, camo. Crew at 100% and 100% at fire fighting skill.

Jagdpanther- binoculars, coated optics, camo. Crew at 100% and 100% at repair skill.

T1 Heavy (lol, big medium if anything)- improved ventilation, gun laying, gun rammer. Crew at 100%.

  • repor,

Why coated optix on your JagdpzIV? Wouldn't binoculars be a better pairing with camo since you have to be stationary for camo to be useful ? Not to mention that binoculars are demountable and optix are not ( at least not yet).

Personal playing style with the JagdPz. I tend to be more aggressive with it than the other TDs. Even with 100 on the fire skill it will still burst into flames at the drop of hat. So I have to stay close to targets and keep them on the front armor. The camo is there so that I can make a tactical retreat.

  • retreat = movement
    movement = camo effect broken

So how does camo aid in your tactical retreat ? The camo reset (after movement) is ten seconds if my info is correct. What am I missing here?

  • retreat/camo= leave the action go and hide.

I use the JgPz to rush in and a "jam" or "face-hug" an enemy tank. Since most tanks can't depress their guns to get at the low slung JgPz and the tanks that are lower are forced to shoot at the front armor. Once the action is over, I leave the area and hide in a bush waiting for my next victim.

The only reason I keep the JgPz around is that like the StuG it is a good cash cow.

  • I just got the Stug today. Haven't played it enough to form an opinion yet, but I certainly love playing the "Hetz". With a camo net and 90+ camo training for the crew it is damn near invisible. Hetz has quickly become my cash machine but we will see how the Stug does.

Ok not beat a dying horse......... but.............. if your gonna "hide in a bush waiting ....." then the binoculars are the better choice over the optix.

  • When you get a JagdPzIV you can put fucking binoculars all over as far as I care.
Apparently if my goddamn opinion differs from Roid, its wrong.

  • I love the little blue lights on my variable speed case fan.
Especially cool because when the lights are out it throws a cool perforated
Case pattern on the wall behind my PC desk.

Dont' know about WOT these days, but I've been rocking in Medal of Honor-Limited Edition lately. Really good conquer and base capture modes in the game. :)

  • Oh don't worry about Repor. He gets cranky when he doesn't get his fix of PR. :P jk

But back on topic. Is it worth upgrading a level 2 tank all the way or is it best just to keep working up the tree to the higher level tanks? Does/did anyone hold on to a level 2 tank to make money or kill off a bunch of newbies?

almost done with PzIII/IV, Hetzer, T34
due to the fact i still don´t have a premium acc i´ll keep those and bring em up to 100
as soon as i have premium i´ll add 2 or 3 slots and get back some tierII tanks
