  • Me and my PC are lock cocked and loaded and ready to whoops some ass

I also pre-ordered it but i didn't see a place at EA's site to get a free shirt??

Roid you should get a free pc and BF3 game for being number one in the world for BF2 for so long and legit at that.

  • Preordered a copy from a diskshop - Now its only the long wait to see when the release is. Hope it wont be to many bugs and patches to get the game going. Like the auto patching from BC2 so....holding my thumbs :)

Dont you remember the bugs when BC2 came out at first though? I sure hope they learned to have a good and proper beta time to hash all the stuff out correctly

The big thing I like seeing in this article and I hope its very accurate is this

"The hands-off demo--which was running off the PC build of the game (with PC being the lead platform for the Battlefield 3)--didn't give away too many story details, but we did manage to eke out some facts."[/u]

I guess we'll find out. I'm supposed to get a look at the beta since I bought Medal of Honor, but I seriously doubt that all the bugs will be identifiable just from the beta. Guess we'll see though...

    hope it helps for you

i hope mine can handle it but i always think: i can handle bc2 on medium (high with little littlebit lag) and i think i can handle minimun for sure and probably medium with little little lag (although, that is what i hope)

I've got a single 5870 as well. I'm thinking that I'll have the itch to upgrade the graphics again this winter as BF3 is supposed to roll out. Not sure what I'll do, by my thinking at the moment is to keep the single 5870 and use it at the start of the BF3 beta. That way I can get a look at the performance of my system with the single 5870 and then look at the reviews of the current GPUs out at that time (Nvidia supposed to have Kepler series out I think) and make a decision from there as to what to do...

Could be add another 5870, move to a 6xxxx card or a pair of them, or perhaps back to nVidia by that time...

  • If your system will handle BC2, Crysis, Far Cry etc..
then BF3 shouldn't be much of an issue.

  • I was thinking more along the lines of a new car. 8) 8) I am running a ATI 5770 GPU card. The way you guys are talking, I am gonna have to upgrade to play BF3?

The "dragging injured players" thing is a little puzzling to me............. if your a medic why bother dragging, just zap him and get the hell outta there......... if your not a medic, then dragging isn't gonna accomplish much.
