  • My beloved MX 518 has a broken USB cable.
I am going to replace it but that will be a rainy day project.

Meanwhile, I picked up the G 400 at Best Buy this evening.
Listed for $50 USD but on sale and I got it for $40 USD.

Many thanks to repor for hanging with me on Vent to help me troubleshoot the issue!

I may come to like this one as much as the MX due to pretty much being the same mouse with a different shell.

    Good Gaming Everyone..!

  • The MX518 was my very first gaming mouse and replaced it when it stuffed up with another (RMA). Great mouse it is Blood. I was upset when it kicked it but found a great replacement I swear by (the G5 Lazer). A bit pricey, but I bought the one with the same set-up (x2 buttons on the side). Kicks ass.

The replacement will serve you well nevertheless. Happy Gaming. :)

  • Well I was Torn Bulldog. I mean this was harder than I expected. When I got to Best Buy and started looking at the performance mice it was a little overwhelming.

    Then I saw this:

I mean..Are you serious! This thing has a built in Aquarium and it LIGHTS UP!

So the toughest part was turning down Hello Kitty for the G400.
I really did ponder over the 500 though.

  • I'd have went with Kitty... more entertaining to stare at when the game is loading, the water inside it could (potentially) build momentum as you turn and assist you with follow-through on moving enemies and you may even be able to adjust the water level to emulate ballast and balance the mouse!
