  • I didn't want to make a whole new thread dedicated to watercooling, so I'll piggyback off this thread.

I'm currently in the market to upgrade my cpu cooling and have decided that I'm ready to try watercooling.

I have my eyes on a XSPC RX360 radiator and I'm trying to find some low noise (<30 dB) fans that move a lot of air. I've been hunting for some Scythe Gentle Typhoons and found some at . I think the 1850 RPM - 16 dB - 57 CFM fan is the right balance of quiet and performance that I'm looking for. Thoughts?

I used a sound meter app on my phone and measure the sound level of my PC at idle (web browsing, forum reading). I sit about 3 feet from my PC and the sound level was measured at 55 dB. It didn't used to bother me, but now it does and I want to get it reduced as much as possible.

    Oh...Who needs a 5400 RPM fan?!! ... 5mm--.html

  • You should also look at Noiseblocker fans for a good CFM/dBA ratio.
I'm not water cooled, but I run 6x Blacksilents for exhaust, 1x M12P on the cpu and all I hear is a low whoosh.
